My Story
I'm just a girl with a story. In that, I am not unique. I owe so much to the love and support of those around me, without whom none of this could have been built or accomplished.
When I was in my late twenties, I was facing the big question that we all face at some point:
What do I do with my life?
After a career change, medical difficulties, then the birth of my first child, I knew that I didn't want to continue with the work I'd done in the past. Like a dream come true, I found an opportunity to write. A year later, Rabbit-Trapped was published.

Do you have students interested in fiction writing? I'd love to talk to them about it. Do you teach creative writing? I'd love to do a short workshop or project with your class. Do you have students interested in publishing their own book one day? I'd be happy to come and answer questions about that process.
I have worked with teens (12-18) for most of my adult life in one capacity or another. I was a youth pastor for a while, I worked with youth in inner city Dallas, I have worked with teens in the foster care system and the juvenile justice system in Fort Smith, AR and surrounding area, and have volunteered and worked as a tutor with high school and college students. To say that I love working with youth is an understatement. If you know of a group of teens who want to learn more about writing, please contact me!
